The nGear eSata ExpressCard froze my Macbook Pro twice. And because my laptop froze, a partition even got corrupted on my external drive. Not very safe for my backups!

Now the feeling, the SIL3132 based stuuf (LaCie in my casE) is causing weird hangs and crashes, and I’ve lost my TimeMachine partition several times ;(
Wished I could get the JMicron based ones, but I’m stuck in Nigeria, and the mail order company wouldn’t be able to do it in time ;(
